An overlook as to how the teams stand
The buzz around is that as always people feel India, Australia, England and New Zealand look good for the semi final spots as they all have been more consistent in such events. India the most favourite to go on and lift the trophy considering they know better the conditions which will be offered as they are the host nation. So does that mean other teams do not stand a chance??? Well than you need to take back your words. Pakistan, South Africa are more than capeable of lifting the trophy as well and they can come out as dark horses, also one cannot completely take out Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Sri lanka out of contention because they too can pose some serious threats considering the sub continent conditions which favours them more.
No harsh feeling for Netherlands as they have achieved quite a feat to qualify for this mega event they too can hand over an upset or too. All the teams though have the fire power required, also most of the players play IPL so the conditions in India will not be something they would fear or be worried about as they possess skills and good amount of experience of playing in these conditions all thanks to IPL. Thus, in the end it would all come down to how one handles the pressure and situation and who can calm the nerves better.
